Assistant Vice President/Loan Officer
SUSAN WEBER
Loan Officer
Chris began his community banking career in 2008, conducting loan reviews. Since then, he has taken advantage of the many opportunities a banking career offers, including lending, compliance, IT and management. His interest in lending came from his desire to help people and the community that he lives in. He strongly believes that there is always an opportunity to help someone through a situation - good or bad - or to be a part of making a dream a reality. He earned his bachelor’s degree from UW-Madison and is a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at UW-Madison.
Chris is very active in the Viroqua community, including serving as a board member for Vernon Trails, Inc., spearheading the creation of Viroqua’s first disc golf course and serving on the Viroqua Basketball Club board. Chris also coaches girls basketball at Viroqua High School and volunteers at the Driftless Humane Society in Viroqua. Past accomplishments include having received the Volunteer of the Year award from Viroqua Chamber Main Street, serving on the Vernon Memorial Hospital Foundation board, and contributing to the efforts to establish the first dog park in Viroqua.
Originally from Minnesota, he moved to Wisconsin for school and stuck around for the beauty, the people and – of course – the cheese. When he’s not busy volunteering, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Emily, their daughter, and two dogs. He’s also a talented cook and enjoys cheering on the Badgers, Packers, and Bucks. Chris has a passion for serving the Viroqua area and is eager to explore new opportunities to make the community a better place to live, work and play.

As an active resident, Susan is excited to be a part of helping her community and surrounding areas thrive. She has always enjoyed giving back to the community, including involvement with the Vernon Women’s Alliance, Driftless Humane Society and participation in local high schools Reality Days events. Susan has also coached youth basketball, served as a Girl Scout leader, ran a coed volleyball league, participated on the block grant loan committee for the City of Viroqua and has been involved with the local Rotary. As a founding member of Vernon County Housing Coalition and Southwest Regional Housing Coalition and as a past member of the Richland County Housing Coalition, Susan cares deeply about the economic health of the surrounding area.
Having been in lending since 1996, Susan has a deep understanding of the community banking landscape. Her favorite things about being a community banker are the excitement of helping first time buyers own a home and having the opportunity to talk to young people about buying a home or car and maintaining good credit. Her philosophy is that everyone deserves to be treated with respect and deserves the best in professionalism and service when working together, which is what she strives to deliver.
When she’s not helping customers or being active in the community, Susan can be found cheering on the Packers, golfing, hiking, biking, spending time with her husband and their pointer/husky rescue, Mocha, or with their kids and grandkids.
